Better support in knee surgery

The short seat section of the Operating table Y 2500 allows for easy access during knee procedures in the supine position as well. To easily position and support the legs for knee surgeries, the standard seat pad can be replaced with the one without the cutout.

Ideal access to the patient

Even when operations are performed in seated position, the streamlined base offers ample legroom. The surgical team can get close to the patient and do their job confidently due to the column and tabletop design.

Safety in an emergency

While the table is entirely electrically controlled, it also features a manual SOS castor release. In an emergency, the castors can be effortlessly unlocked by engaging the manual lever located beneath the base.

Versatile patient positioning

Combination of lateral tilt and Anti/Trendelenburg position

In lower abdominal as well as gynecological, urological, and colorectal surgeries, gravity assists surgeons in moving organs out of the way to gain optimal access to the surgical site. The patient can be set lying at an angle up to +/- 20°, either head-down and head -up in the Trendelenburg or Anti-Trendelenburg position. Lateral tilt allows tilting of the tabletop to the left or to the right up to +/- 20° as well.

Lithotomy Position

The lithotomy position is required for gynecological and urological procedures. Featuring a detachable leg section and gyn cutout in the seat section, the OR table Y allows surgeons optimal access to the operating site. Thanks to its extensive height adjustment range and streamlined base design, the table ensures perfect ergonomics for surgeons of all sizes.

Supine position

The supine position, with patients lying face up, is utilized for a variety of surgeries, including ophthalmic, ENT, and plastic procedures. This position ensures surgeons an optimal access to several surgical sites such as the abdomen, chest, head, and extremities. To cater to the specific requirements of each surgery, the operating table can be customized with accessories and supports, whether from an in-house selection or third-party suppliers. The standard narrow headrest can be effortlessly replaced with other head supports since the OR table features the headrest adapter.

Prone position

When surgeries are performed on the posterior parts of the body, such as in neurosurgery, colorectal, and vascular procedures, the prone position allows for optimal clinical access. In this position, the patient lies face down, supported by foam positioners and supports to ensure comfort and proper alignment.

Supine position for knee surgery

In the supine position, patients lie flat on their back, and it is used for a variety of surgeries, including orthopedic. However, each type of surgery requires different accessories and supports to ensure optimal positioning and access for the surgical team. For the knee arthroscopy, the patient’s knee is slightly flexed and supported by a padded knee holder which stabilizes the leg and exposes the knee joint. The operating table’s adjustable height and tilt functions facilitate precision and safety as well as allow the surgeon to work comfortably.

Arm surgery in supine position

Precise positioning guarantees optimal access and support during surgical procedures. Surgeries performed on patient’s arm require that the patient is placed in a supine position, with their arm extended and securely supported on an arm & hand table. This specialized support ensures the arm remains immobile throughout the surgery. With its broad height adjustment range, the Operating Table Y provides excellent ergonomics for surgeons, whether they are seated or standing during the operation.

Beach chair position

In the Beach chair position, the patient is positioned similarly to sitting comfortably in a beach chair with flexed knees. It is most associated with orthopedic shoulder surgeries. In this case the backrest of the OR table includes detachable cutouts, providing excellent clinical access to the patient’s shoulder. However, this position, also known as Fowler’s position is utilized in nasal, dental, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery as well.

Lateral position

In back, colorectal, kidney and hip surgeries, a patient is placed in the lateral position. It means they lie on either left or right side depending on the surgical site. They are supported by pillows, positioners and supports, to maintain alignment during the surgical procedure.
