Our family business celebrates its 45th anniversary this year. We are pleased to say that these 45 years have been years of successful development, manufacturing, and sales of industrially designed high-quality medical products.
The story of Novak M began in 1979 when Bojan Novak and Janez Blaznik started bringing their ideas to life in a home garage. Although they initially engaged in their activity only part-time, they soon realized that the work would become more extensive. Within a year, they established the Manufacture of fabricated metal products NOBL and moved to a larger home-based workshop.
Import to Slovenia was quite limited. Slovenian companies lacked materials and products that were already available on foreign markets. “In those days, the problem was not so much how to sell the product, but how to produce it,” Bojan Novak recalls. He is still convinced that everyone has the opportunity if one is inventive and proficient.
Also within the medical field, there was a demand for products that couldn’t be ordered in the market. “The medical facilities needed equipment for effective performance of their activities. They expressed their requirements and we began with the development, manufacture and sales of various simple products such as baskets for glass accessories, test tube holders, and small lab accessories. But soon the product range expanded and the first trolleys, examination tables, hospital bassinets and children hospital beds left the production.”
Even then, the essential values of the company were of utmost importance: courage, diligence, and honesty, which can still be felt today in the relationships among the team members and through numerous satisfied clients throughout Slovenia and the world.
